Bike 4 Cancer - About Us

Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.

Cycle from London to Paris!

Cycling from London to Paris is one of Europe's greatest cycling challenges.

With four long days in the saddle, you will cycle through picturesque countryside, small villages and medieval market towns.

With the finish line under the Eiffel Tower, you'll have a spare day to explore Paris before returning home. So why not get on your bike 4 cancer!

Itinerary

Day 1 - 95 miles (approx)
We leave from Crystal Palace in South London and weave our way down quiet country lanes to Dover. Arriving late afternoon, we then take the ferry across to France (arriving in Calais by late evening).

Day 2 - 75 miles (approx)
Our second day in the saddle, we head East into the stunning countryside of northern France. We cruise down the French roads enjoying the rolling hills and picturesque villages.

Day 3 - 70 miles (approx)
An early start this morning, our route today takes us through Saint-Quentin and then on to our hotel in Beauvais.

Day 4 - 60 miles (approx)
The final day of cycling and the big push to Paris! After lunch near the outskirts of Paris you will spot the familiar sight of the Eiffel Tower in the distance! We rendezvous in a park just north of Paris before joining together to cycle the last few miles along the famous boulevards.

Day 5: Final Stage - Tour de France
The day is yours to explore Paris and to soak up the Parisian way of life! Our Eurostar will be departing in the evening to give you as much time as possible to soak up the atmosphere! Alternatively you can stay overnight in Paris and travel home the next day for a small additional fee.

Costs

When you register, you will be asked to pay a registration fee of £149. A further £825 in costs will be payable before the departure date.

The £825 can either be self-funded or it can come out of your sponsorship fund, in which case a minimum sponsorship fund of £1,650 applies before Gift Aid is added.
