EVENT | 11th Sep 2022 |
Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer provides days respite breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and fund research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Join Bike 4 Cancer for this iconic charity cycle challenge! The 2022 ride takes place on Sunday 11 September.
Places are strictly limited however so please register early to avoid disappointment.
The 55 mile route starts on Clapham Common and travels through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath.
Riders are also tasked with climbing the infamous Ditchling Beacon (814 feet above sea level) before the descent into Brighton!
Although some training for this event will be required, completing this challenge should be within most people's capabilities.
The spirit of the event is 'taking part' not crossing the finish line first, so please cycle as fast or as slow as you like! AND as we always say... "safety comes first!"
Given this event is limited to 5,000 riders, the route is less crowded than other similar cycling events. The lower numbers arguably make for a safer ride.
Your £55 entry fee includes multiple water and refreshment stations, toilet stops, finisher's medal, breakdown & medical assistance, signage and marshalling.
PLEASE NOTE: As there is an additional cost to Bike 4 Cancer for you to take part (on top of the £55 entry fee), we ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship fund of £100 to take one of our places.
Because places are limited to 5,000 riders they sell out very fast. To avoid disappointment, please register early by clicking on the register here button below.
