Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Cycle from London to Amsterdam via Bruges in just four days!
Also known as the '3 Cities Bike Ride', this fantastic route will take you through some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK, Belgium and Holland!
You'll also have time to enjoy the wonderful cities of Bruges and Amsterdam before heading home at the end of day five.
Day 1: London to Calais (75 miles)
From Crystal Palace in South London, we cycle through the Kent countryside to Dover (avoiding busy roads) before catching the ferry to Calais in the early evening. The ferry journey is the perfect time to get to know the other riders taking part in the challenge.
Day 2: Calais to Bruges (80 miles)
After a hearty breakfast in Calais we cross the border into Belgium and cycle through picturesque villages on our way to Bruges. Often described as 'The Venice Of The North', Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders and is widely considered one of Europe's most beautiful cities.
Day 3: Bruges to Breda (95 miles)
We make our way down through the beautiful Dutch countryside and even take a ferry to cross from one island to another! Along the way we will cycle past beautiful windmills, tulip fields and irrigation dykes. You will see this incredible region of Europe in all its beauty.
Day 4: Breda to Amsterdam (90 miles)
Our last day in the saddle, we cycle through quiet Dutch villages until we arrive in Amsterdam for a celebratory meal!
Day 5: Amsterdam to London (Train)
Spend the day exploring Amsterdam before catching the Eurostar to London.
When you register, you will be asked to pay a registration fee of £125. A further £800 in costs will be payable before the departure date.
The £800 can either be self-funded or it can come out of your sponsorship fund, in which case a minimum sponsorship fund of £1,600 applies before Gift Aid is added.
