The team are raising funds which will enable 4 Cancer to provide respite opportunities to cancer patients and their families at a Mediterranean resort or to enjoy sailing days in the UK. In addition, the team will be providing a grant to the Oxford Cancer Centre.

 Did you know that...?
...over the course of the Tour de France, a professional rider will lose approx. 10lbs in weight, the amateur riders will lose a lot more!
...they will consume 8000Kcal per day or the same as 34 Big Macs
...they will pedal approx. 1 million revolutions
...they will drink 150 litres or 260 pints of fluid
In order to achieve this, the riders have been preparing for 9 months, taking part in a number of UK cycle races.

Starting on Saturday 27th June the riders will be in the saddle for 21 days and will be riding over 3,500km (2,174 miles) covering the route one week before the actual professional tour riders.
