Bike 4 Cancer - About Us

Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.

Cycle from London to Paris!

Cycling from London to Paris is one of Europe's greatest cycling challenges.

With four long days in the saddle, you will cycle through picturesque countryside, small villages and medieval market towns.

With the finish line under the Eiffel Tower, you'll have a spare day to explore Paris before returning home.

Itinerary

Day 1: London to Dover (75 miles)
Starting in Crystal Palace, we cycle through the Kent countryside to Dover (avoiding the main roads) where we catch the ferry to Calais.

Day 2: Calais to Abbeville (76 miles)
Cycling along small quiet roads, we pass through many small villages as we head South towards Abbeville.

Day 3: Abbeville to Beauvais (60 miles)
Following the river Somme out of Abbeville, we continue South to the more forested region around Compiegne.

London to Paris Cycle Ride - Bike 4 Cancer

Day 4: Beauvais to Paris (50 miles)
On the final day we ride through woodland before entering Paris. After cycling around the Arc de Triumph we cross the finish line beneath the Eiffel Tower.

Day 5: Paris to London (By train)
Spend the day exploring Paris before catching the Eurostar back to London.

Costs

When you register, you will be asked to pay a registration fee of £99. A further £750 in costs will be payable before the departure date.

The £750 can either be self-funded or it can come out of your sponsorship fund, in which case a minimum sponsorship fund of £1,500 applies before Gift Aid is added.
