Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
On the 9 June 2017 David will set off on his epic London to Paris in 24 hours challenge leaving from London and cycling to Brighton before getting on the ferry at Newhaven.
Once on French soil David will cycle the famous Avenue Verte cycle route before heading towards the finish at the Eiffel Tower.
"On the 9th June I will be riding from London to Paris in 24 hours. I am attempting to do this in memory of friends and family who have been taken by this awful disease. I hope through this to help the fight of those afflicted with cancer as well as supporting those family members who are so badly effected but whose suffering is so too often forgotten.
Thank you
David"
