Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Peter is going to be cycling from London to Paris in 24 hours raising funds for Bike 4 Cancer!
On the 9 June 2017 Peter will set off on his epic London to Paris in 24 hours challenge leaving from London and cycling to Brighton before getting on the ferry at Newhaven.
Once on French soil Peter will cycle the famous Avenue Verte cycle route before heading towards the finish at the Eiffel Tower.
Commenting on his challenge, Peter said:
"Why am I riding from London to Paris?...in 24 hours?...WHAT!
Recently both my mum and step mum have had or do have cancer. This has obviously had a big impact on our family. I know whatever you will be able to donate will help families cope in this situation.
I also know it'll help soothe my bum pain during the 180 miles I'll be cycling from London 2 Paris!"
