Cycle the length of mainland Great Britain in this iconic cycling challenge. Starting at Land's End on the South West tip of England, we pedal our way through Cornwall and over Dartmoor to the Welsh border. We then skirt along the edge of the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and mountains to the North coast and John O'Groats. In all we will cover almost 1,000 miles in 12 days, passing through some of the most stunning and remote countryside in the British Isles.
The ride starts on Tuesday the 6th of May. You will arrive in John O'Groats twelve days later on Saturday the 17th of May.
DAY 1: Land's End to Liskeard (80 miles)
We cycle from Lands End through Cornwall on undulating roads
DAY 2: Liskeard to Tiverton (77 miles)
We cross into Devon and over the tough climbs of Dartmoor
DAY 3: Tiverton to Tintern (96 miles)
Cycling on the flat roads of Somerset, we cross the Severn Bridge to the Wye Valley
DAY 4: Tintern to Shrewsbury (90 miles)
We ride on undulating country roads via Hereford to Shrewsbury
DAY 5: Shrewsbury to Preston (92 miles)
Today we ride flat and fast roads through Cheshire, bypassing busy towns to Preston
DAY 6: Preston to Carlisle (90 miles)
Today, we climb up Shap Fell and through Carlisle towards the Scottish border
DAY 7: Carlisle to Kilmarnock (100 miles)
We cross into Scotland at Gretna and continue through the lowlands to Kilmarnock
DAY 8: Kilmarnock to Inveraray (80 miles)
Riding rolling hills along coast, we take a short ferry ride and cycle loch-side to Inverary
DAY 9: Inveraray to Loch Lochy (95 miles)
We cycle through the highlands and Fort William to Loch Lochy
DAY 10: Loch Lochy to Tain (75 miles)
We cycle along the Caledonian Canal stopping at Tain
DAY 11: Tain - Thurso (87 miles)
We head North once more towards Thurso
DAY 12: Thurso - John O'Groats (30 miles)
Cycling along the coast, we pass beautiful beaches to the finish at John O'Groats!
DAY 13: Depart Inverness
All accommodation is included, as well as all meals (except 2 as specified in the itinerary). It also includes full trip support with experienced group leaders, luggage transport and mechanics. It does not include personal travel insurance or entry to any optional tourist sites you may wish to visit.
