Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
At its heart is a truly spectacular and challenging route that's designed to appeal to a wide range of riders, from anyone with a reasonable degree of fitness (and/or a lot of determination!) to experienced, regular cyclists - there's no doubt that it certainly has plenty to offer for anyone who is looking for a really good physical challenge, and ultimately it's all about having a great day out on a bike while achieving your own personal goal!
he Ride starts in Taunton and follows a spectacular course through quiet Somerset lanes before going up onto and across the eastern part of Exmoor, and then finally finishing by the sea in the tranquility of Blue Anchor, near Minehead, on the West Somerset coast.
