Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Starting on Clapham Common, the route travels through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before finishing in front of Brighton Pier.
Esther will have to tackle the fearsome Ditchling Beacon at the end of the 58 mile route - the highest point in East Sussex at 814 feet above sea level!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the London-Brighton Bike 4 Cancer cycle ride in September 2015.
The effect of cancer on patients can be devastating, and pretty heart-breaking all around for everyone involved. Some of you know of my mom's battle with it and her eventual passing last November, and we can only be grateful for the time we all had together and everything we got to experience with her. Feisty little lady :)
Some of you will also know I like sports! Bike 4 Cancer is a cancer respite charity, providing cancer patients and their families with opportunities to enjoy sporting breaks together, as well as making grants to UK care institutions.
The bike ride itself is not the focus here. Improving someone's quality of life and bringing any extra bit of happiness that you can, is. Having said that, any donations are very much appreciated. And if you're not able to donate, that's ok...but then pick up your phone and make sure the people you love know exactly how important they are to you.
