Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Starting on Clapham Common, the route travels through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before finishing in front of Brighton Pier.
Adrian will have to tackle the fearsome Ditchling Beacon at the end of the 58 mile route - the highest point in East Sussex at 814 feet above sea level!
Commenting on his challenge, Adrian said:
In loving memory of Keith Moss 04/2/1949 - 19/07/2006. A loving father, step father and truly a great man. Keith fought hard and with the dignity as we would expect nothing less but this awful disease really took one of the best. Raising money for this charity keeps us aware we still have work to do and of course those we lost at the forefront of our minds.
