Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Craig takes on the Ark to Arc challenge to raise funds for Bike 4 Cancer and the Ark Cancer Centre Charity!
On the 12 July 2017 Craig will set off on his epic Ark to Arc challenge leaving from the Ark Cancer Centre in Basingstoke and cycling to Porstmouth before getting the overnight ferry to Caen in aid of Bike 4 Cancer and the Ark Cancer Centre Charity.
Craig will then spend a further 3 days in the saddle cycling from Caen to Alencon and then onto Evreux finally finishing in Paris!
Commenting on his challenge, Craig said:
"Last year, I promised I’d never bloody do one of these bloody cycle-rides a-bloody-gain.
But, here I am. That said, I don’t have Cancer, I have two arms and two legs and a gut that needs taming. So, I’m on it.
This year I am trying to raise awareness and a large team (that will raise lots of cash) for The Ark Cancer Centre and Bike 4 Cancer.
All donations for me are as ever welcome as Cancer needs a hell of a lot more taming than my tummy”.
