Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Anna takes on the Ark to Arc challenge to raise funds for Bike 4 Cancer and the Ark Cancer Centre Charity!
On the 12 July 2017 Anna will set off on her epic Ark to Arc challenge leaving from the Ark Cancer Centre in Basingstoke and cycling to Porstmouth before getting the overnight ferry to Caen in aid of Bike 4 Cancer and the Ark Cancer Centre Charity.
Anna will then spend a further 3 days in the saddle cycling from Caen to Alencon and then onto Evreux finally finishing in Paris!
Commenting on her challenge, Anna said:
"After taking part in 'Jogle 16' I never thought I would EVER get back on my bike however the pain I went through is nothing compared to Cancer patients & their families who the Ark Cancer Centre support.
With this in mind I'm getting back on the saddle and following a more structured 'training' plan to help me complete Ark to Arc.
Apparently this one is more of a 'jolly' I'll report back on that part afterwards.
