Set up by a team of cycling enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Bike 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. cycling) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Adam takes on the Ark to Arc challenge to raise funds for Bike 4 Cancer and the Ark Cancer Centre Charity!
On the 12 July 2017 Adam will set off on his epic Ark to Arc challenge leaving from the Ark Cancer Centre in Basingstoke and cycling to Porstmouth before getting the overnight ferry to Caen in aid of Bike 4 Cancer and the Ark Cancer Centre Charity.
Adam will then spend a further 3 days in the saddle cycling from Caen to Alencon and then onto Evreux finally finishing in Paris!
Commenting on his challenge, Adam said:
"After doing the London to Brighton last year (from the safety of my car) I was in awe as I watched thousands of people all raising money for various great causes by cycling.
I had become aware of The Ark Cancer Centre Charity and when I heard about the Ark to Arc ride I realised I had found my challenge and my cause.
I have no cycling experience nor the body shape or desire to wear lycra but I do have a real passion to do my bit and help a great cause.
